Prior to joining O’Keefe & Associates, Carol O’Keefe was Senior Vice President and Commercial Region Manager for the Huntington National Bank in Southeast Michigan. In this capacity, she managed the Corporate Banking Department, which included the Commercial Real Estate loan group, Commercial Banking loan group, Treasury Management and Credit.
Prior to assuming her position in Huntington’s East Michigan Region in May, 1999, Ms. O’Keefe served as First Vice President and Credit Administration Officer with Comerica Bank in Detroit, Michigan. In this position, she was responsible for a $5 billion dollar commercial real estate portfolio consisting of construction and amortizing loans, national real estate loans, REIT loans and Mortgage Banking loans in Michigan, Texas, California and Florida. Ms. O’Keefe has over 25 years of banking experience. She began her career in 1979 with Manufacturers National Bank, which was subsequently merged with Comerica Bank in 1992, as a branch management trainee. Her transition to corporate banking occurred in 1981. Since that time she has held progressively more responsible positions in both corporate banking and credit administration.
Ms. O’Keefe graduated from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, where she received a B.A. in Business Administration with a specialty in Finance. Ms. O’Keefe is currently an Advisory Board Member for the Troy Community Coalition, a former member of the Development Committee for the University of Michigan Cancer Foundation, and a member of Oakland University and Michigan State University’s Presidents Clubs.
Professional affiliations include the Risk Management Association, International Council of Shopping Centers, the Detroit Economic Club and the Troy Chamber of Commerce.
