Meagan Hardcastle provides financial expertise and strategic advisory services for middle market companies. She assists our clients with business turnarounds, bank workouts, financial restructuring, distressed refinancing, litigation support, business valuations and financial due diligence. She joined the firm in the spring of 2006 with a background in middle market banking and commercial real estate in the Detroit area.

Prior to joining O’Keefe & Associates, Ms. Hardcastle served as a Commercial Real Estate Investment Specialist at Grubb & Ellis Company, where she provided financial analysis and advisory services related to commercial real estate investment transactions. Prior to that, Ms. Hardcastle was a Middle Market Banker and a Credit Analyst at Bank One, where she underwrote financing transactions for middle market companies in the Commercial Banking, Managed/Special Assets and Commercial Real Estate departments. She was responsible for assessing borrower risk and determining appropriate financing structures. In that capacity she performed market research, evaluated business viability and analyzed detailed financial information related to middle market companies across a wide variety of industries.

Ms. Hardcastle holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Strategic Management. She also earned a concentration in Entrepreneurship, focusing on entrepreneurial finance (seed-stage through venture capital financing), business plan development and business startups. Her team was a finalist in the University of Chicago GSB’s 2005 New Venture Challenge business plan competition. She is also a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Wayne State University’s Business School, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance and Investment Finance.

Ms. Hardcastle has been awarded the Accreditation in Business Valuation (AVA) designation by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). She recently completed the successful refinancing of a distressed middle market manufacturer experiencing substantial financial losses and union labor contract problems. The transaction was nationally recognized by the M&A Advisor at its annual Middle Market Financing Awards Event in Chicago, winning the Manufacturing Business-to-Business Deal of the Year Award. The transaction was also selected as a national finalist in the categories of Middle Market Deal of the Year and Manufacturing Transaction of the Year at the M&A Advisor’s Inaugural Turnaround Awards Event in West Palm Beach.
