Susan Koss specializes in litigation support and turnaround consulting services at O’Keefe & Associates. During the last seven years, Ms. Koss has worked on 74 litigation assignments involving business valuation, breach of contract, economic damages and fraudulent conveyance matters. She also has performed numerous valuation assignments utilized in estate and gift tax matters, shareholder disputes, marital dissolution and merger and acquisition engagements. Additionally, Ms. Koss has prepared complex financial analyses utilized in business turnarounds and bank workout assignments for clients.
Prior to joining O’Keefe & Associates, Ms. Koss served as a division controller at SER Solutions, Inc., where she aided top management to formulate solutions to complex financial problems. Her responsibilities included management of the daily accounting and operational functions of the Company. Ms, Koss also assisted in the $30 million merger between Macro Computer Products, Inc. and SER System AG, which created SER Solutions, Inc.
Additionally, Ms. Koss served as a member of the international accounting team at DaimlerChrysler Corporation. There, she initiated cost-cutting and profit-enhancement strategies to the multi-national corporation. Ms. Koss has also worked in the public accounting industry providing auditing and consulting services.
Ms. Koss holds a bachelor of science in accounting from Oakland University and is licensed by the State of Michigan as a Certified Public Accountant. She is accredited by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and has been awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credentials by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a board member of the Detroit Chapter of IWIRC (International Women’s Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation) responsible for planning and organizing network events. She is also a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts and the Turnaround Management Association.
